RELY ON ME

Rely On Me

Imagine you are a wagon of hope

Everybody loves you because you bring hope

Everybody wishes you the best because they will gain

Everyone needs you because they are in need

You Indeed you are their hope

You alone bring hope

You alone you carry hope

Hope so well needed

You hope never to fail everyone

You hope never to spill anyone’s hope

You have everybody’s hope

Its too heavy, the wagon cant take it anymore

The wheel is damaged, the bearing is brokenThe hope is going to spill...

STREETS, STREETS...

STREETS, STREETS…

Them perplexing

Amazing, them split

With undulation, straight

Subtlety I surmise never

I imagine them being a tureen

Surly, yet full of solace

Damp with superfluity of morals yet unethical

The oracle of skinflint, love, joy, sobriety, thrall…

The streets are a Victrola always wheeling

Its LP ever skipping

Different skip each time

A skip for each street wanderer

Wait for your turn to dance!

Trod!

Them streets are vile

Vindicative to no Virtuoso

Swarthy yet no suave

I like unkempt and never punctilious streets

Cold in the night, damp in the summer

A welcomer of tempest but never tremulous

Oh I wallow my streets!

HOPE

HOPE

Sometimes I falter to move

Only to fail after

I flip, and I flop

I hope to stand but no rope

Am desperate,

I have to move

But no loose rope to hold

Am losing hope

Where do I hold?

My fold is covered

And am not favored

SUDAN

SUDAN

The Humidity Stiff, never minding the burning heat of the Sun

Women and young children walk it

Its hot, so is the ground

It’s the bush, the ground has thorns

Bare-footed they trod

There’s no food or safe water,

They must walk on

The night is cold, the sky is clear

They dare not halt

Their enemy is coming

Snakes, Lions feared less

Painful is he who’s pursuing them

Walking and running they are the enemy is in their search

They better reach the border

Rains come and, they are socked

Disease and pain is inevitable

They don’t have to rest,

They better get away

Away from Soldiers who want them

They’re scared of being Raped and killed if they resist

HOW DOES HE LOOK LIKE?

HOW DOES HE LOOK LIKE?

Man said to be his image

One color better than the other

Which one is his?

Salaries in White and Khaki packages

Why the difference?

All born through pain

Human is it?

Which one is he?

A DEATH ENCOUNTER

A DEATH ENCOUNTER

I abhor death,

Who can help repress its ugly hand!

When its fingers beckon you to follow

There’s no resiliency

Is death a retribution for mankind?

I really wonder

Ill am here

Which sanitarium didn’t I visit?

Which Medicine I try never?

My illness interminable

Don’t point your dirty fingers at me!

I spit with disgust at too death!

You coward!

Who will feed my family?

Which lucky fellow will share a bed with my wife?

Can I come with her?

You jealousy death!

No! Spare her

Let her live

Who will educate my kids?

Who will desiccate their tears?

Will they be robbed of my riches?

Clever you!

Like hell you defrauded my soul

I smoked, drunk and slept with every girl my heart wished

I thought I would live forever

You selfish beast!

How I wish I could disdain your stubborn hand

MY VICTORIA FALLS

Victoria!

how idyll you are to your spectators

Surely the Mighty Mother of all Falls you are

The smoke that thunder your thighs are a wonder

Your height makes me linger in discomfiture

When am by your feet, I can bare see your nipples,

As Rainbows that cross your belly button elate me

The Great Zambezi River is your handsome partner,

Him a dream for all women

How does it feel when his massive tentacles pour the waters in you?

I watch in awe as he comes to you each day and night,

Season to Season, all great rounds

I fear more in summer,

Then, he’s high with the supplies of the Kalene Hills

Mean time it is!

So worth to gaze

Millions come to witness your great passion

The Mighty Victoria Falls!

All about you I admire

I reach your bottom and resist no sweat

I like your broad cataracts and their protruding breasts,

I wish I were great enough to give them a touch

More and more I watch you

Your white eyes so amazing O goddess of love!

Your beauty leaves me in tremors
